Ha vuelto mi musa.

Well, I've started writing again, after, like 4 months of nothing. I'm not talking about this blog, but rather my own personal writings. Yes, I suppose I am what one could call an "amatuer sci-fi/fantasy writer." Only I've never published anything and have no following. So maybe "poser" would be a more appropirate term.
Meh. I don't care. I just enjoy creating worlds and characters, and then writing about them. Some people collect stamps. It's all a matter of perspective.
So, I got a 3-week trial of City of Heroes in my PCGamer last month. It's cool, [DELETED] and we'll leave it at that. Anyway, the game itself is kinda cooler, but WoW is better and more user-friendly. But, I do have to say, City of Heroes just has the better setting. I mean, become a super-hero. You can't beat that. Maybe being a super-villian in the upcoming City of Villians will be cooler, but still...

Serenidad y La Novia Cadáver

Well, I saw Serenity last week and Corpse Bride yesterday. I'd have to say that even though I'm not used to shelling out 8 bucks for a movie, they were both well worth it.

If you saw the series Firefly, and haven't yet seen Serenity, shame on you. Repent now and go and watch it. It is a must. Because it continues the storyline, if nothing else. To be honest, I'm kinda disappointed, because the series was so well done, and so well set up with so many supporting characters and bad guys that it had the potential for a good two seasons, maybe three. But it seems that with the cancelling of the show, Joss figured: "Well, might as well wrap the story up for closures sake." I dunno. I mean, I can't really blame him, since it's unlikely that the show will ever get picked up again. Ah, well.

Corpse Bride really surprised me. I wasn't really sure to expect, since it had been forever since I'd seen The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it looked good and I'd heard good things. After watching it I felt that it was a great movie. The villain was a just a tad underdeveloped and a little too cliche, but other than that, everything was very well done and quite artistic. I found especially interesting the fact that the world of the living was rather monotone, while the land of the dead was much more colorful. And the ending, while considered bittersweet, I found rather... beautiful. I can't think of how else to describe it. Ambiguous, maybe, but still beautiful.

For now, there's not much that really catches my eye that I can't wait for the dollar theater, expect, of course, for the Chronicles of Narnia. I cannot freaking WAIT for that movie to come out.
